• 1989-1992: Employed in the medium size plastics processing industry, finally as a manager of a company that constructed, produced and distributed injection moulded thermoplastic precision items in particular for the international TV set industry

• 1997-1999: Assistant lecturer of Prof. Dr. Theodor Baums at the Institute for Commercial and Business Law of the University of Osnabrück
